Can’t send email

I have been login and logout numerous times for my yahoo mail account but unable to send email. This error popped up. Need help on this issue.

You're very welcome. We appreciate you providing us with those answers. You mentioned having other mail accounts on your iPhone, however it's unclear if they're also having an issue or if this is specific just to your primary Yahoo account.


Also, since you've already tried updating your password, if your issue persists, since Yahoo accounts are preconfigured IMAP accounts, this means you can safely delete the account and add it back without losing any data, as all the emails are stored on the server, not downloaded locally.


Test things out further after deleting the account and setting it back up again. For help adding the account back, review Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

We understand that you're unable to send emails on your iOS device using your Yahoo mail account. Rest assured, we're going to do all we can to get this resolved for you so you can get back to sending emails as expected.


To start, we'd like to ask some questions to gain a better understanding of your issue. Have you made any recent changes to this mail account, such as changing the password? Also, are you able to receive emails currently? Do you have any other mail accounts added, or is this the only one?

Hi Joseph


Thanks for replying to my matter, let me answer your questions. There is no recent changes made to this Yahoo mail account. I did change my password few months back but already updated on my iphone. I will receive my email, sometimes intermittently this error popped up during send email or refresh inbox. I do have others email accounts added to my phone, one gmail and another one my Yahoo mail. That’s all my answers to your questions. Thank you.
