Non-American holidays on calendar—how to remove them from the American holiday listing

Why are Muslim holidays listed as American holidays and cannot be removed? I do not observe them and I want them off my calendar.

Find a calendar in the App Store that would best meet your needs. Apple has decided to add events that many people in this country or any other country might find useful. I just ignore the entry if it is no use to me.
