ear pod extension cable

I am looking for an extension cable that will extend the length of my ear pods. I bought a 4-pole extension cable but the mic on the ear pods does not work.

When I plug the ear pods directly into my pc, they work perfectly. When I try to use the extension, the mic will not function when recording a video.

I am using windows 10 on my PC. Where do I find a cable that will work?

Hello six_mile,

We want to help as much as possible with extending your EarPods cable.

Although the cable is not made by Apple, it appears the one you purchased should work since it has the 4 pole connection. Several reviews also state they were able to get it working with the mic. You may want to ask for an exchange from the seller.
