Has anyone noticed that when you're waking your Mac up from sleep mode the screen turns on then it turns black then back on real quick? I haven't noticed it on the previous update. I have a 16in MacBook Pro. I just installed an update the other day I'm running version 10.15.6.

I have seen some quick screen flash since the 10.15.6...but not necessarily "black then back on real quick."
Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
If no resolve try running the Combo update macOS 10.15.6 https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2048?locale=en_US
again over the top of your existing macOS 10.15.6 to sort anomalies with a point update.
