Display on MacBook Pro 13in 2017 Flickers

I have a MBP 13 2017, running OS 10.15.6, on which the display suddenly began to flicker on the top 1/10th portion of the screen. Along with the flickering is a vertical area about 1/4 of the way across the screen from the left to the right that runs from the top to the bottom of the screen which is distorted but not flickering. The distorted area is about 2ins wide.

I've tried resetting the NVRAM or PRAM with no luck. When I start in SafeMode there is no flickering but the destorded area is still there.

Any suggestions?
