Why my order take so long to be prepare to ship

I ordered a MacBook Pro ( base model ) almost 10 days ago and it says that It was going to be delivered between yesterday and 5 more days but it is still on “ processing “. Is Apple out of stock ? Or the process to ship is quick as soon as is ready

If it is not in stock then it will take as long as it takes—there are associated delays because of the COVID19.

you can Call Customer Support (800) MY–APPLE (800–692–7753)

If you ordered over the phone—in conversation they can tell you availability, if available the default is shipped "next-day express" for stock items. That is basically a overnight deliver window at no charge.

Custom builds ie BTO (built to order) ex. added RAM etc—come direct from the assembly line in China, and will always be some delay.

Unless you order a Mac that is "on the shelf" at an Apple store and ask for it to be delivered at that store, ALL Macs are permanently "out of stock", except possibly for a brief window around the introduction time.

These machines are built to your order at Apple's Just-in-time factories in China. You are NOT waiting for it to be picked from a warehouse -- ALL are custom-built except as noted above.

Apple shipped 2 million Macs last year. With 50 work-weeks in year, that's 400,000 per WEEK, or over 57,000 per DAY, most of them MacBook variants.

First, you are not asking Apple here. We are your fellow end users. We cannot check your order status. Fussing here will get you nowhere.

Is Apple out of stock ?

Very likely. Heard about COVID? It has caused unprecedented levels of order for all tech companies as people work and study from home. Some factories in China closed early in the pandemic and are only now getting back into full swing.. The entire industry is in catch-up mode. And people are still dying.

Usually Apple's page for refurbed iPads is chock full of options. This morning there are zero listed.

My pre-COVID experiences with ordering Apple-direct is that the status will continue to say "processing" while the device is in the production line queue. Once it moves to shipping, the status will change.
