Can an iPhone bought in Colombia work in the US

Ok, so I want to buy an iPhone 11 Pro in Colombia (I am currently living here) and I don't know when I'll be going back to the States, but in case I do I wanted to make sure that the iPhone I purchase still works over there. I've been considering buying it straight up from Apple because I know it would be better, but I wanted to know if it could also be done by getting it through a phone company? In this case it would be Claro because I have my cellphone service with them. Would they unblock the phone after I fully paid it off?

When you purchase a new iPhone via Apple's website in the "Choose your carrier" category there is a

"SIM-Free - activate with any carrier later." option.

If you go to a physical store in Colombia you can probably request a SIM free, unlocked iPhone. When it's SIM free it means the iPhone is designed to work with any carrier you choose to use. So it will work with any: AT&T, Sprint, T Mobile, Verizon...etc... I believe there's also the "CDMA" and "GSM" system but that won't really matter - until you activate the iPhone....

Found this online: "Apple has announced it will give one-year international warranty on unlocked iPhones purchased from outside the US.  "

Colombia speaks Spanish correct? If you are fluent in Spanish you could impress the employees and they might offer better service to you...
