I purchased a CD and was able to load to my MacBook Pro and I shows in Music App but when I sync to my Iphone7 I get an error message that says songs can't be played on my iPhone.
Any ideas - I've never seen this error before on a newly purchased CD.

When importing an AAC file using Music it should be encoded using an MPEG-4 AAC format. Songs in this format should then play on your iOS device. See how to choose your import settings here: Choose import settings in Music on Mac
