Buying a used Verizon iPhone 7. Owner has given me his Apple ID and password. I have followed the instructions online and Apple has sent him confirmation numbers so I can access everything. I have deleted his sign on etc erased all on phone but when I come back I have to use his Apple ID not mine. PLEASE HELP.

Unlock it again and then used the link that KiltedTIm kindly provided to you and wipe out that phone and start over from scratch.
Really odd that he gave you his Apple ID and password. Are you saying that when you run into Activation Lock and use his Apple ID and password it does unlock the iPhone?
We did all that together. It looked like it went back to factory settings. But I go the way through and it cones to signing in with Apple ID, I have to use his not mine.
yes it dies still unlock with his id.
Had done that about five times already. You know what solved it was to go to my other Apple device and changed my Apple ID password. That did the trick. Hope this might help someone in the future. Not sure why it worked.
