Apple Watch 3 running out of storage - can’t update - have removed podcast app from phone and completed all other clearing actions but watch still full - do I need to reset and lose everything ?

I do not have enough space to update my Apple Watch I have deleted every app from the watch but there still is not nearly enough room. I do not want to lose my activity data by reseting it. What can I do to solve this and update it?

Apple Watch series 3 storage Only have 4.8 GB of capacity. Have removed all apps (which are allowed to be removed) from watch, no songs photos or audiobooks... still says I only have 2.8 GB of available storage and the new update is 3.1 GB. I don’t want to reset and lose my fitness app data. Any suggestions??
