My 8 plus have been stolen and this is a disaster

my iphone 8 plus was stolen today. I was looking for an iPhone in the Locator program, but after 20 minutes the iPhone disappeared from the radars ... And now I don't see it in the Locator program. Thieves have erased my phone, I cannot see it on my devices in Find My. How could this happen? Apple has such a high level of protection.

They may also have broken it in half and thrown it in the trash when they realized they couldn't get past the Security.

There are certain things Apple can't stop.

So long as you don't remove it from your list of devices, it will be unusable to whoever has it.
