Photos PNG Exporting with Wrong Date?

When I export PNGs from Photos and import to Adobe Lightroom Classic, the capture date in the metadata is 12/7/2019, no matter when it was taken. If I export the same files as JPGs or Tiff the date is correct. If I look at info in my finder, all dates are the same. It's only when PNGs are imported to Lightroom that the date looks wrong. Is this a Lightroom bug or a Photos bug? How do I fix it??

png files sometimes have an incorrect date or location in iPhoto or Photos. Below is my old memo how to fix it in GraphicConverter (mainly iOS png screencaptures):

iPhoto looks at the XMP date so it might be wrong in iOS .png screen captures. Delete in GC via Browser > Actions > Metadata... > Remove Metadata... > XMP.

iPhoto may not see GraphicConverter location data in iOS .png from GPSless devices. To fix, delete in GC via Browser > Action > Metadata... > Remove Metadata... > all. Then add ratings. Then paste GPS. Then Date > Set Modification to Creation date.
