Potential iCloud spam calls

I just got a phone call from ‘Apple support’ - it was a recording which said my iCloud account was breeched and it instructed me to press 1. I did not assuming it was a spam call.

how can I check if my account is compromised?

I just received a call telling me my icloud account has been breached and to do no more work on line and of course to call their number. Surely a spam call. I hung up. But it did raise questions.

Scam. Apple will never call you unless you called them and asked for a call back.
