iPad Pro 2018 Ghost touch

The problem started a few months ago (don’t remember what changed exactly when it started) but through some hit and trial i noticed a few things:

  • I know where the ghost touch happens, i opened a thick brush in procreate and let it be for a while, after a bit i noticed an ink blot on the top bar of the screen little towards the right and that seems to be the only affected spot since the ghost touch causes the pages to scroll up.
  • It somehow stops for a while after i reboot the iPad and goes away almost completely on airplane mode. I have the cellular model so i wonder if some sort of network interference is causing this.

If anyone has been able to resolve this completely please do let me know.

I have experienced the same issue.. iPad Pro 11” . No screen protector. No power connected. Even as I am typing this the shift key is clicking on and off along with the caps lock and the “n” key. Then it stops and does not happen for some time.. cleaned screen well. Restarted and cleared safari history and anything else I could think of, no change.

I have same issue too. According to the www.ifixit.com's internal photo, the ghost touch on my iPad pro happened only at upfront of nearby sim card slot, even if I do not have any at the slot. More precisely, the point is a quarter inch left of the end of slot therefore it may not directly related to the ghost. It occurs more often with apps that tries to communicate to the net often like youtube, web browsers and book readers online. Some electric interference happened between some circuit or some sort and the touch display, while I am not sure since Apple or tech community does not mention any about such.
