I’m not able to receive iMessages text messages sent from Android devices

On my new IPad I’m only able to receive IMessages but not text messages sent from Android devices. I do have cellular data and WiFi. On my old IPad I was able to receive texts. Is there a setting I’m missing?

You will need iPhone to set up text message forwarding. Check this link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208386
