How do I reorder reminders on mac without nesting?

In the mac app, how can I reorder reminders in a list without causing the reminder I'm dragging to nest under another reminder? I can't figure out how to prevent it from automatically nesting (except for dragging to top of list).

Mac Reminders App can't show completed items Hi All, In apple reminders– I have several lists.. In the past, I could choose a list and at the very top right there would be a link to show completed, however now I do not see that link and I know there are completed tasks in that list.. Question: how do I get the completed tasks link to show up again so that I can view completed items? Thanks - Dave

Reminders subtasks have become difficult to find and navigate. Previous methods to create subtasks appear not to be working. Have these methods been removed? Has there been a change to the way reminders work? eg To create subtasks I seem to have to click on the (i) symbol and add subtasks and to view them or check them off, I have to navigate through these steps again. There are new menu changes when I sweep right on a reminder but it seems to have reduced Reminders functionality for no clear benefit. All of my Apple products are up to date.

Don't let go when the insertion bar is nested.

If it indents, you have move the cursor to the left and up/down to make it shift back out.
