download mp3 to my library

Hello everybody ✌️

I've bought iPhone 11 after 20 yrs of Android :) and this is my first question here.

When I download mp3 music to my iPhone, everything goes On my Iphone > Downloads. I can access and play them from Files.

Now is tricky part.

I have Instagram and I like posting photos with music I download it (not Instagram music which anyway is not available in my region). I am using app Storybeat for it.

But, different from Android, when I click on option Add Music > Your Library, I am getting message "No music downloaded on this phone" while I actually have few downloaded files.

This app used by Android recognized all downloaded mp3 files in my previous phone.

Does anyone knows what is catch here and how to download mp3 files to iPhone so that I can use them for Instagram story? Is it connected with iTunes, which I cannot find on my iPhone and heard that they are not built in app anymore?

Sounds like you are trying to upload mp3 from the files app, to my knowledge Instagram does not see the files app, the music would have to be in your actual music library in the music app. you can't move content from files to the music app currently. that content has to be synced to the device through a computer to be accessible in the format you are discussing.

Hi nemanja1976,

We see that you're attempting to use downloaded mp3 much to an Instagram story, however the songs are not showing. We will do our best to assist.

Do you have any songs that were actually purchased through iTunes? If so, do you see those songs when attempting to add a song to your story. If you do not, test with a purchased songs. The songs that were downloaded may not be in the correct location for Instagram.

Hello, Joseph and thank you for your answer.

I cannot find on my phone or download iTunes (I have iPhone 11 and my region is Serbia). I am afraid that specific songs I need (for instance some local songs from my youth:) even if I have iTunes will not be there. I am finding and downloading them as free content from youtube, converting mp4 to mp3.

All songs - mp3 - I download, goes directly to Files app.

Instagram recognize only files and videos from Photos.

I do have app called Storybeat, which I use for creating Instagram stories: you put a photo you want and then you have an option to use song from Storybeat library or to use your own downloaded mp3.

But StorybeT also does not recognize songs from Files app: My Library is always empty. While using Android, downloaded mp3 files were recognized.

Hello, nny1001 and thank you for uour answer :) Do you have an idea how I can sync files that Instagram and Storybeat app recognize them ? I have Windows PC.
