"Connection Failed" Error

I have another computer on this network, a Windows 7. To access its files it appears in Finder on this computer running Catelina: but Catelina fails to bring up its files. In Finder "Connection Failed" appears. Did I fail to do something on the Windows 7? Thank you.

Cannot Connect to macOS Ventura on LAN I have the following computers running on the same LAN: Mac Studio M1 Ultra, macOS 13.0.1 (MS) MacBook Air M2, macOS 13.0.1 (MBA) MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013, macOS 11.7.1 (MBP) Dell XPS 13 Plus, Windows 11 Pro (DELL) I can see all of them on the network and I can connect between MBP and DELL in either direction. For MS and MBA: I followed the instructions in the Apple articles: If you can’t connect Mac and Windows computers and If your Mac can’t connect to another computer ad litteram, to no avail. The Public Folder is shared, 'Share files and folders using SMB' is set to On The Firewall Options 'Automatically allow built-in software to receive incoming connections' is set to On and 'File Sharing (SMB)' is set to Allow incoming connections. What am I missing here? Any suggestions on what I should do to be able to connect to MS and MBA via LAN will be appreciated. Thanks!
