Will factory reset affect text messaging or phone calls?

Will doing factory reset affect text messaging and ability to use phone?

Factory Reset means deleting all data and returning your iPhone to factory settings (like new). If this is what you mean then you will need to activate your iPhone again including Messages and FaceTime etc. Once the activation is complete then you can use your iPhone for calls and iMessages/Messages for texts as you had been.


If you did not mean to delete all contents/data from your iPhone and only wanted to reset all settings then you can do so by:

Open Settings ➔ General ➔ Reset ➔ Reset All Settings.
