Will a logic board from a MacBook Air 13-inch, Mid 2012 or newer fit in and function in a MacBook Air, 13-inch 2011 ?

Will a logic board from a MacBook Air 13-inch, Mid 2012 or newer fit in and function in a MacBook Air, 13-inch 2011 ?


(The original logic board has suffered liquid damage.)

The Logic Boards from 2013+ MBAirs are different from the 2012 and earlier models and will not work.


I'm not sure if the Logic Boards for the 2011 and 2012 models are interchangeable. Even if they are very similar you may find one of the mounting posts to be just a millimeter off (happens a lot with other Apple laptops). I never worked on the 2011 and 2012 MBAirs. I can say the Logic Boards for 2013 - 2017 are interchangeable for the most part.
