Lost phone and iCloud

I lost my iPhone a couple of months ago and set it to “lost” and “erase” when and if it came back online and it was showing as “erase pending” on my iCloud account of devices. I have just noticed however that it has dropped off my iCloud list of devices. Does this mean it has been activated and erased it does it just drop off the iCloud account after a set period ?
