iPad External Display Options

I currently have my iPad Pro connected to a monitor through the USB-C port. It is currently mirroring the iPad’s screen. Is there any way to have it extend the screen and have two apps open at once - one on the iPad and one on the screen? I have an external keyboard and mouse connected.
