System Extension
Keep getting this alert below after updating OS to Catalina. How do I made it go away?
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy and Allow the system extension from developer "Benjamin Fleischer".

Some applications install system extensions. In Catalina these extensions will not load unless you explicitly give permission.
Do you recognize this developer?
One other thing that might help: uninstall the application in question, then reinstall. If nothing else, that should make the desired request for permission to come up.
Google can be wrong, you know...
It's NOT 30 minutes after you install Catalina (that would be downright stupid).
It's 30 minutes since you receive the alert.
Restart your mac and I expect you will get the same alert soon enough, and can act on it.
Did you look into System Preferences->Security & Privacy->GENERAL?
Thank you for your response...I agree it is downright stupid, but that has been my experience so far...I have tried the restart method and no luck. There is still no option to give this extension permission...
I've added it to the "Full Disk Access" and "Files and Folders" sections of the System/Security & Privacy/Privacy preference pane as well (and restarted the computer) and that has not fixed the issue either...
I recognize the developer and would like to give permission - however, when I go to system preferences, the option to allow is not there...
Can't find it...Google says I had to have gone to System Preferences within 30 minutes of updating to Catalina (it's too late now) so I am looking for other ways to allow the extension
Will try this next. Thanks!
To make it go away, you either need to allow the extension (via System Preferences > Security & Privacy), or you need to uninstall the software that uses that extension. The former is risky unless you know what that software is. The latter also requires you to figure out what the software is. One strategy to locate the software is to use EtreCheck, which will examine all software, extensions, etc. and prepare a report for you. You can share the report here and someone might identify what Ben hath wrought.
P.S. google suggests the software is FUSE. Do you have this?
Thanks for the help! I do recognize the developer and would like to allow the extension - however, when I go to system preference, the option to allow is not there...
It should appear in
System Preferences->Security & Privacy->General
(not totally sure about being in the "General" pane, but almost; if not, look in one of the other panes)
Depending on what the app is and how it works with your computer add it to the "Full Disk Access" and "Files and Folders" sections of the System/Security & Privacy/Privacy preference pane.
