Apple Maps showing grid only

Apple Maps on my new iPhone 11 Pro with updated iOS shows grid only. It shows my GPS location no prooblem. This applies to Find my Phone as well and oddly Weather app as well as any apps that use Apple maps such as Yelp/Zillow. I reset Location Sharing, Region, Settings only, Content and Settings (and restored from iCloud), Reloaded Maps App, and have an excellent internet connection. Does anyone have any idea what to do? Interestingly, I tried to submit this using the Apple Maps app but it said there was an error submitting. Thanks.

Hello niket229,

It sounds like you can't use Apple Maps correctly as it shows a blank grid.

You can take a look at the steps here If the Maps app isn't working on your Apple device, specifically the first section titled 'If you can't find your current location on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch'.

If this is only happening when you're connected to cellular data, you can also go to Settings > Cellular and make sure that Maps is enabled.

Super unhelpful seems the issue was on Apple’s end and multiple users reported spontaneous fix. As mentioned i said no GPS issue or data issue. Thanks for paying attention.

This has been corrected by Apple since I posted. Not sure where the error was but multiple users reported spontaneous fix’s well as I did without making any changes.

Hello,

I am having the exact same issue on my new IPhone 11 Pro Max. Spoke with several chat agents and so far no fix seems available. I have tried restoring from backup, resetting settings, and rebooting and yet still having this issue with Apple Maps, Weather, and Find my IPhone. This problem seems very recent and also somewhat rare.

My phone is brand new and I am running the newest IOS and the most recent version of Itunes.

Seems odd that the issue would seemingly just go away. I will update once I get an answer from a senior advisor or if this issue goes away on its own.
