How do you delete old games from ICloud that you no longer play?

I have a bunch of games, I think, that are still in my cloud. Are they really gone or are they still there waiting to see I want to play again, which I don't. They are from years ago. My cloud is full & can't afford to buy more room. How Do I get rid of old stuff on my ICloud?

iPhone 7, iOS 13

No apps are ever stored in your iCloud storage space. iCloud is Apple’s client online service and has nothing to do with storing your apps.

Apps in your purchase history are stored in the Apple App Store online. The cloud icon next to an app merely indicates it is in the online virtual App Storefront and is available for you to re-download as desired.
