Deleting Documents from ICloud

Hey everyone!

I saw an old thread about how to delete documents from ICloud. When following the steps that were given a lot of people said it wasn't working. Then I tried deleting my messages from my phone because I noticed my past messages are saved on my computer. It COMPLETELY changed my storage! I just wanted to share in case anyone is facing the same problem I was having.

Have a great day!

When iCloud Drive and desktops and documents box are checked see the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchle5a61431/10.14/mac/10.14

The personal documents can be directly deleted from finder > iCloud section > Documents .

https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mchlp1093/10.14/mac/10.14

See the section - Delete an item from your Mac or iCloud Drive

For messages https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/iphone/iph2c9c4bfcb/ios

Note : messages don't occupy iCloud storage space and they are synced between devices and only back up https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207428

The complete storage was changed as you deleted the documents from icloud drive .
