Wants the difference between a gift card an a iTunes card

• iTunes cards are to buy digital content from the iTunes or App Store: apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, books, and iCloud.
• Apple Store gift cards are to buy Physical products in the Apple Online Store or Retail Store

What type of gift card do I have?

There is new card now called Apple Gift Card which does everything but it’s only available in America.

According to the Apple website, "Apple Gift Cards cannot be redeemed at the iTunes Music Store. Purchase an iTunes Music Card instead.". ITunes gift cards on the other hand can only be redeemed at the ITunes store for music, video or apps.

It comes down to if you want to buy an iPod, buy an Apple gift card (unless you care about the extended warranty on your credit card, but that's another discussion); if you want music for your iPod, buy an ITunes gift card
