New 27" iMac as an external display?

I just saw the announcement today (8/4/20) for the new iMac and am hoping that awesome 5K retina display can be used as an external display for a MacBook Pro. I see the USB-C port there, but it is unclear whether this is supported again or not. Thanks!

To be used for Target display Mode, the iMac must be running no NEWER than High Sierra on an iMac from 2014 or older.

It is not supported from a MacBook Pro 2020.
