Compressor: What is the "Internal" Side Chain?
The standard Compressor has the "Side Chain" drop-down on the top right-hand side. The options are "Internal", "Audio", "Input" and "Bus". What does "Internal" mean and how does it work?

No. No changes. None vs Internal depends on the plugin.
Now I understand what you're looking for. It is like asking where Input is documented. Nothing specific to Logic.
Internal as a sidechain input just means the processed signal is used as the trigger.

Unless....in version 10.5 did the change the name in the dropdown box from "None" to "Internal"? That would make sense 🤔
Thanks. That was one of the videos/articles I had looked at to try and solve the problem. It talks about "internal sidechaining" but it does not describe what the "Internal" option is in the dropdown box on the top right and how to use it. The video/article selects the "Side Chain" button but it does not describe the purpose of the "Internal" option in the dropdown. It is not documented anywhere!
Thanks 😃
David
