Is APFS journaled?

Hi,

I noticed in Disk Utility that my APFS disk, containers and volumes are not journaled.

Is this normal?

Is APFS a journaled filesystem? Or does it have a different mechanism similar to journaling, and if so, does it have effective means to reduce chances of data loss due to a system crash/power outage?

Thanks

APFS is a modern file system with crash protection. It doesn't say "journaled" because, unlike HFS, it isn't an older filesystem with journalling added on later.
