I bought a brand new iphone x from the market, and I have found that it takes almost 10 hours to charge from 0 to 100.

It's extremely likely the phone you bought was new.
The iPhone X was discontinued in September of 2018.

If the service provider is offering you either, I would think you would want to accept a new phone ... right?
