I want to make a new icloud email address and eventually delete my old one?

I was told my email address was compromised so I want to make another iCloud email. Then I will delete the old one after I change all my emails with my school, bank, credit cards etc.

Told by who?

How was it compromised?

An iCloud address is tied to your Apple ID, it cannot be completely deleted, unless you delete the Apple ID entirely, which means any associated purchases and content in iCloud Drive would no longer be available.

You can access your iCloud account at hhttps://iCloud.com, it uses your Apple IDs password.

When an Apple ID is compromised, its best to change the password it is using and use 2 factor authentication to protect it.

I assume you created a new Apple ID when you signed in here. If so, then you don't need to create another new one. You should be able to delete the compromised Apple ID at this point.

See How to Delete your Apple ID Account https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208504

“While your request is being processed, you can contact Apple Support with the unique alphanumeric access code you received, and we’ll help you cancel your request. After your account is deleted, Apple can't cancel the request, reopen your account, or restore your data.”

Note that you must follow the instructions for deletion given in the document precisely. If you fail to do so, then you may be in for problems in the future.
