I am struggling with cleaning my MacBook to give myself more storage space. My mac states I only have 13 gb left out of 500gb. I do have doc and photos going to my iCloud account which I have purchased a higher storage of 2tb and i still did not clear up the storage on my MacBook.

One solution is just to copy off to an external drive the files you don't need to routinely access.
Personally, I use the free Disk Inventory X (http://www.derlien.com) to see what's taking up space.

I did the Apple suggestion already, however I am worried that I am going to delete something I should not. I deleted almost 30, 000 pics in my library and that did really nothing. I did notice however it seemed like I have duplicated of my pics in multiple libraries for some reason.
