Looking to exchange my iPhone X for a new one using the insurance via verizon (asurion). They require that Find my iPhone is turned off before they send out a new one. I have turned it off on my phone and even double checked icloud online. Shows that no devices are connected.
How do I get around this?

I don't understand your issue.. you say that you turned it off and you don't see it in iCloud.. doesn't this confirm you turned it off??
