Non-return fee stuck on "pending" after sending back Airpod that I replaced

Last week I ordered a replacement for my right Airpod. Once I received it, I promptly sent the faulty right Airpod back and was emailed a few days later that Apple had received it. It has since been a week since I received that email and the transaction for the non return fee is stuck on pending. Will I be charged or will I receive a refund?

"Pending" is a card-hold authorisation, if you use a debit card this means the money will come out of your account balance and you won't be able to spend it. This is a security hold to make sure you return the defective Airpod.

As Apple have received it, there could have been a problem in releasing the payment. Normally this can totally depend on your bank processing it. It does time out after a while and you would be refunded, but you'd be best contacting your bank or financial institution with proof Apple have received it for more help.
