Phone Call from Apple Support

I received a call from a 800 number, I answered said that they were from Apple. Somebody was trying to hack into my computer and if I wanted apple technical support to press one. I spoke to a guy that said somebody from a foreign country was trying. He asked if I wanted to know where. I said Yes and he said from Florida. He wanted to run diagnostic testing on my computer. I didn't let him. but thought I should call Apple support and get more information. Also gave me a number for Apple Technical Support *****

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
