Suddenly I can't transfer songs from my albums to my ipod. I can plug in the ipod and I can see all its contents and playlists but when I try and drag new songs onto the ipod playlist, nothing happens. I bought a new album and I can't sync that over to the ipod either. Help!

Are the songs in question downloaded to the computer or in the cloud? Do they play correctly in iTunes?

Which model of iPod is it? Do you have either Apple Music or iTunes Match? Did anything change, such as updating iTunes, between now and the last time you were able to add media in the way that you expect to?

I have the latest ipod mini (just before they stopped making this model) 14.7 GB. Everything was working normally until a Windows 10 update crashed my computer and I had to get a tech guy to sort it all out for me. Ever since then itunes does not recognize my ipod and I am unable to sync the latest album I bought from apple to the ipod.
The songs were downloaded from itunes directly onto my computer. They all play correctly in itunes
