iPod Shuffle (4th gen) not charging but syncs to itunes

Hi, I have a blue 4th generation Shuffle which I plug into the computer and the orange light comes on and it is seen in iTunes and I can sync all my music to it.


So far so good but the problem is it remains "charging" (orange light) even if I left it overnight and check in the morning the light is still orange not green and as soon as I unplug it and try to use it there is nothing. No green light, no sound, no music just dead. Itunes even after all night charging shows the battery indicator at minimum level.


I also tried charging it using a usb wall charger and a 20,000mah fast charging power bank but same result.
