headphone jack camera adapter

Since updating to iOS 13.5/6, I cannot connect the headphone jack adapter via the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter on my iphone7, getting error message accessory not supported.

The camera adapter alone seems to work fine.

The headphone jack adapter alone works fine when connected directly to the phone.

Worked brilliantly before the 13.x update. Have tried the usual stuff (reboot, clean contacts etc).

Anyone with a pro tip?

Hello Bengt224,

It sounds like you are connecting your phone to a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter then connecting a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter, however the audio is not connecting. The lightning port on the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter is to allow extra power for USB devices, not to connect the audio adapter.

"Add even greater capability and versatility to your iPad Pro by powering the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter with a USB Power Adapter. Then you can connect USB peripherals like hubs, Ethernet adapters, audio/MIDI interfaces, and card readers for CompactFlash, SD, microSD, and more."

Check out these links to learn more about your Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter and your Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter.
