Is it possible to connect an external gpu for my mid 2012 Macbook Pro 9,1? I am running Mojave 10.14.6 and i would like to know what i would need in order to achieve this application.

No it's not possible. Most eGPUs require Thunderbolt 3 ports which you don't have.
Thank you very much. It was worth a shot. Maybe it's time to upgrade.
