Is this music you BOUGHT from the iTunes Store or LEASED with an Apple Music subscription?

Add and download music from Apple Music or buy music from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

If it is music you bought:

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books - Apple Support

If it is music you leased:

If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support
