HUGE DROP in picture quality in iPhone X camera, struggling to focus

Hello,

My iPhoneX is taking really bad images lately - struggling to focus on well lit subjects, even on videos with subjects that have very little movement, and when I go back to the old pictures the same camera took, there is a HUGE difference, both on pictures, and videos. The sharpness is gone, subjects are out of focus, etc etc. Did Apple pack this in one of the updates to make me upgrade? You know, to "save battery" or something?

Hello shaheerrrahman,

We want your iPhone to take the clearest photos possible, so let's see what might be causing this.

Take a look at this resource and see if it helps: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working

These steps specifically: "Remove any case or film that might block the camera. A metallic or magnetic case or camera attachment might interfere with the camera on your device.

Test the camera by trying to take a photo.

If the photo is blurry, clean the front and back camera lenses with a microfiber cloth. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens or if the camera lens appears to be misaligned or blocked, contact Apple Support for help with your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch.

Restart your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch

Test the camera again by taking a photo. If your device has a front and rear camera, check if one or both isn’t working. To switch cameras, tap the rotate button ."

Let us know you still need assistance. Have a wonderful day.
