Updating Issues?

My iphone 6 plus tells me that my software is up to date but its on iOS 12.4.8? An app I need requires me to have iOS 13.5 or later. I'm not really sure what i'm supposed to do...

iOS Upgrade I have an iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.5. I am trying to download an app that requires iOS 14 or better. When I go to Settings, General, Software Update, I get the message that my software is up to date. Can I update my version higher than 12.5.5?

it says my 12.5.5 is already updated, and I need 13 or later How can I update iPhone software when automatic update is on and indicates that my 12.5.5. software IS up to date. I need 13 or beyond to support my apps.

The iPhone 6 can not be upgraded beyond iOS 12.4.8.
