Got a Westpac debit card to replace my HandyCard so I could use Apple Cash. Got the card accepted into my wallet. Made it my default card. Cannot get Apple Cash to use it to add cash. Ideas?

Funny... Westpac in Australia announced we can use Apple Wallet, which works. Then I went through a huge process to upgrade my debit card so I could add cash. It is in my wallet, but won't add cash. That must be the issue, though literally nobody at Westpac knew that. Unreal. Thanks.
Yes, Westpac was the last major Australian bank that got onboard recently (5+ years late)
They would prefer you use their services instead.
Yeah I waited too. Looks like they’ve okayed wallet, but still not cash. Dang it.
I was able to add my WestPac debit card to wallet, but cannot get Apple Cash to connect to it in order to add cash. It's a Mastercard debit card from Westpac here in Australia.
