Why does my left AirPod charge a lot faster than the right?

Have you tried charging both Airpods to 100% in the case to see if this issue continues?

If one is continually losing charge faster than the other it may indicate a fault in the device.

I occasionally have the opposite issue and when it happens I take them out and blow inside to make sure no dust on contacts then put them back in and they seem to be OK then
