what if my daughter already has an apple id ? do I still have to set up new for her on child family share?

I am trying to now change my daughter family share into a child family share so I can keep a better eye on things, but it ask me to set up new apple id. she already has one, am I not able to use that for this as a child?

Yes, you can use her own Apple ID since she has one.
