Overtype mode in Notes

Is there a way to toggle overtype mode in the Notes app?

I've done it in Word by modifying keyboard shortcuts, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do the same thing in Notes.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Notes is not a word processing application, and there is no support for overtype. You select existing text, and anything you type replaces it.
