How can I search for my lost phone on the app

I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max that I just lost and it’s not showing up on the find my phone app

To be able to track it, it must be on and connected to the internet. Did you activate find my on the phone? See here for what to do: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201472
