When you are using the iPhone English keyboard and you need to use the less then or equal to symbol, how do you go about sending it via text? In case that question was a bit confusing for some, how do you insert the symbol for “Less Then or Equal To” in a text message?

You can't do this symbol ≤ from the keyboard. You have to copy/paste it from another source or set up a Text Replacement for it

With a text replacement you could type a sequence of letters like "lsoreq" and it would be replaced by ≤ .
Open Messages and begin typing the message on the keyboard. Tap on the 123 Key (Bottom Left) and then tap on #+= Key (Bottom Left, Third Row from top). You will then see the "Less Than", "Greater Than" and "Equal to" Symbols. See image below-
