Mac Mini late 2014 mojave 10.14.6 - my photos won't open!
photos won't open. just get the beach ball - have to force quit. have shut down computer a few times - no difference.

Startup in Safe Mode, followed by a normal restart and try opening Photos.

It is normally to get a little beach-balling if you have a large Photos Library and a slow 5400rpm Hard Drive. If it takes more that a minute or so, open Activity Monitor in Applications > Utilities and look for a unresponsive or a failed process.
